Regarding Purchases

Q

Where can I buy it?

A

Bus ticket counters, smartphones, and designated travel agency (SUNQ PASS exchange tickets) are available for purchase.

I don't know where the Bus ticket counter is.

A

Bus ticket counters are available in Kyushu 7 prefectures in Japan (Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima) and Shimonoseki (Yamaguchi).

Q

Do you accept credit cards and electronic money?

A

Credit cards are accepted, but electronic money is not.

Q

After receiving exchange tickets at the designated Travel agency.

A

Please exchange your SUNQ PASS for a SUNQ PASS at the Bus ticket counter.
Please note that exchange tickets are not valid for boarding the bus.

Q

Are there any rates for children or the physically challenged?

A

There are no child fares or fares for the physically challenged.
Please be aware that depending on the section and frequency of use, it may be cheaper to use the child fare or discounted fare for the physically disabled for the section used each time rather than using the SUNQ PASS, which may result in a lower total cost.

(Child fares start from children of elementary school age and above, but if you occupy a seat for an infant on an Express Bus, the child fare will be charged.)

Regarding the use of buses

Q

How does it work when getting in and out?

A

For local buses and Express Buses that do not require reservations, please present your SUNQ PASS to the driver when you get off the bus, and for Express Buses that require reservations, please present your SUNQ PASS to the driver when you board the bus.

For Express Buses that require reservations, you will need to make a reservation for the Express Bus and be issued a seat secure ticket in advance.

Do I need to take a numbered ticket?

A

Yes, local buses and some Express Buses in the city are equipped with "numbered ticket issuing machines.
Please take a numbered ticket when using the relevant bus.

Can I use the SUNQ PASS for the Kyushu Odan Bus?

A

Northern Kyushu and ALL Kyushu SUNQ PASS is available.
Seating capacity is limited, so please make a reservation in advance at the counter after making a reservation.

Q

What if I go to Miyazaki or Kagoshima where the Northern Kyushu Pass does not apply?

A

Please note that you will be charged the "one-way fare" for the section you are riding.

Q

What happens to my SUNQ PASS (paper ticket) after use? Can I have it?

A

Yes, we do not collect them. You can take it home as a souvenir of your sightseeing/travel.

(*Note: SUNQ PASSs that are no longer valid cannot be used at all. If you use an invalid About SUNQ PASS, you will be charged a "surcharge" for any reason, so please do not use it at all.

Refunds and Losses

Q

What happens if I lose it in the middle of use?

A

We cannot reissue the card due to loss by the customer.
Please keep it in a safe place before and during use.

Q

Can I get a refund for my SUNQ PASS?

A

You can use the service up to one day before the start of your trip, but not after the start of your trip.

Please note that refunds, extension of the period of use, and transfer by alternative transportation will not be provided even if the scheduled route is cancelled due to abnormal weather conditions or other reasons.

The bus is late OR the bus is not coming…

A

Buses may be delayed due to traffic jams and weather conditions. Please make your plans well in advance.

Q

My bus was cancelled due to bad weather. Can I get a refund?

A

However, no refunds will be made after the start date of use, even if the route is cancelled due to inclement weather or other reasons.
